March for equal rights.
There was a march in the streets of Paradise. Just another march but something caught my attention. This march was headed by EU representatives and Ambassadors. How strange that these foreign representatives should march for equal rights in Paradise.
Then thinking about this, yes it happens to me sometimes, don’t all the citizens in Paradise already have constitutional rights. They do, so why this march? Maybe they want extra rights? Forget the theme or hidden agenda of this particular march. Let us just focus on the appearance of the EU representatives leading the march.
Why are they pushing this issue? It would appear that they want to impose their European lifestyles in Paradise. Of course, they have been more than generous with their financial grants for Paradise. So, are they now expecting Paradise to blindly accept what they consider to be valued for this society? Many questions and thoughts there. However, have they themselves considered if this fits the Paradise society? I think not. This society has its own unique structure. A multi-ethnic and cultural composition. In this respect, Paradise could show a thing or two about harmony to the Western world.
Does Paradise really need a copy-paste of Western lifestyles? I don’t think so, Paradise knows how to develop its own brand. When you look at all the societal problems in the EU why would you adopt something which would complicate society even further? If Paradise needs to consult its citizens about major societal changes then they could hold a referendum and have a Parliamentary debate. Paradise people do not need foreign representatives to tell them what is best for them. Paradise is unique.

Interesting. Reminds you of when missionaries first landed on island culture/s?
Sometimes they act with the best interest but forget that their model may not be applicable in the present situation and may not be compatible with another culture.
Sounds like once again, we here as part of the European society are sticking our noses into something that is nothing to do with us and promoting our society and values – as being better than others.
I, as part of that European society, am somewhat ashamed as to what actually occurs within that society around me and it is about time that all others and the government(s) around me, took note and learnt what is required to be a happy and prosperous society, without what is really happening in these European countries.
In England for instance, the crime-rate here is believed to be the worst of all others in this part of the world, so for us and anybody else to promote their societies upon any other, they need to look at themselves and put their own house in order – first…
And still then, they should not try and change the values of other countries…
