A book suggested by a friend and colleague. This title is not to be confused with the other book and film of the same name starring Robert Mitchum.“Enemy Below” is written by Ted Sweet. A brief description; It is a great read about a World War 2 Wireless Operator’s experience in many types of training aircraft as well as Stirlings and later, Lancs. There are many references, including photos and diagrams of radio equipment and Morse Code ‘Q’ codes etc. It will appeal to anyone who was a radio operator or in the signals trade.
I should think anyone with an interest in aviation would enjoy it and a lot of people do not really understand the Signal Corps – it sounds as though it might be enlightening?
